- Crossing the Miyamoto Bridge from Tsubame-iwa, this is the Chikuni Kodo (old road) along the right bank of the Himekawa River, which is also the path used for the once-every-seven-years ritual of beating the nagi-kama (sickle) at Suwa-taisha Shrine, and is therefore full of romance associated with the Suwa faith.
